    Free Form Frames

Does anyone have experience with this company? Is the product any good and is the company easy to deal with?

We saw these at "un-expo"...they seemed to be great quality, they had fantastic colors (the internet pics don't do the colors justice) and nice shapes. The interchangeable piece is very nicely done. It felt like it would really stay in place.

    Hi,

I have been using the Freeform beta titanium 3 pc drill mounts for quite a while now. There of excellent quality.

The lab I use distributes them and I keep a stock of samples and I order direct from the lab at package pricing. I would check for a lab distributor first so you can get really good lens/frame pricing. I use Encore Optics in CT.

I have not found an easier company to deal with! They were very eager to let me show and highlight their frames at *Un-Expo*. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. I have several of their collections in my office and am very pleased with the quality and styling.

Every frame company could learn a whole bunch about customer service and satisfaction from this company!

    I give them a hearty:

And I'll "third" it! I've been wearing their frames for a couple of years now, both the original groove mount and the newest drill mount, and I love them.

I have had mine now for just over a month. I love them. It is the groove mount style and I wear a -6.00. They are very light, very strong and very attention getting.

We haven't ordered ours for stock yet, (I was evaluating for the office) but I get patients asking me about mine several times a day.

I will usually involve the first person of the day in choosing which color insert I will wear for the day.

If you decide to bring them on, let them know all the good things you heard on OptiBoard.

    I 4th Heather's & Fezz's :cheers::cheers::cheers:

You're talking about the Ti-Plate series aren't you? I was wondering about those. It looks very interesting. What is the "string" made from? Is it a thin piece of titanium or is it some kind of line?

The whole frame is laser cut from a single sheet of beta titanium. The barrels and hinges are laser-welded to the frame. The 'string' is actually titanium about .5mm thick x 2mm wide. The lab grooves the lenses so that all but about .25mm is hidden giving the appearance of a totally rimless frame.

Do you have to tighten the eye wire or does it just slip over the lens like a nylon string?

Thanks Fezz! I thought the part about the barrels would be enough.

Apparently the eyewire has a barrel with a screw down closure.

Yes, it does. Sorry! I was in a very sarcastic mood yesterday. No offense intended.

we are the Canadian distributors for this collection and have had nothing but great comments from our accounts. The love the quality and the price. The new Acetate collections introduced at VVE (New York) are very unique and great quality.

Im sure everyone is tired of hearing me ramble on about these frames.

Some of the best i have dealt with, great styling, great customization, great quality, we also have the lab provide the frame and its a good thing, we are selling these too often to let them off the board for longer then it takes to put the order though.

Highly reccomend this company to anyone that finally wants a high quality product at a respectable price. (and by respectable price i mean acuity respects us)

How have the rubber temple inserts held up over the years?

Yes they have. I've only noticed some discoloration on the clear ones, but that could be the anti-aging formula I use on my hair. I'm also now wearing their zyl/titanium combo (round, black) with more compliments than ever!

I have way better sales with the acetate collection. In fact, I'm wearing one now!
