Why on Earth would you blow that kind of bucks without anyone even seeing them on your face to do critical measurements?
We strongly disapprove of Internet glasses.
And questions exactly like this is exactly the reason we do NOT allow consumer questions on this board.
Feel free to join in on conversations, but don't expect answers to questions like this. You really need to see an eyecare professional. In person.

    Lisa,

    Please review our posting guidelines:

This forum is for Eyecare Professionals. Consumers are allowed to post in the Just Conversation forum and non-optical topics only. Please be aware that any questions involving optics or eyecare may be removed. These kinds of questions should be discussed with a qualified eyecare professional who has examined you and is familiar with your situation.

What the heck, I'll do 'em. Please wire the $500 deposit to :

    Second Bank of Cayman, #564587k621-h56.

Oh yeah, that triangle thingy in the left eye, I'm going with BO. The right eye has one going up and down, so that must go the other way, I think.

Sorry, I did read the guidelines, I guess I misunderstood, I thought it meant you can't ask questions about diseases. I was looking for input on frames and construction.

Sigh... they were just the ideal shape for me that I've been wanting for years, I just cant get to the shop.

Guess it's back to the same old choices for me.

I have been to optometrist/opticians in person who also came back with a completely screwed pair of lenses...

I don't understand why "questions like this is why we dont let consumers ask questions" I was trying to reach out for information from people that are experienced.

I wouldn't buy glasses from someone who was arrogant or dismissive either, no matter how much knowledge they thought they had.

Thanks for your time, sorry for my inappropriate post.

The reason for this policy is because we've been threatened with lawsuits because someone didn't like our advice. So no more.
But.. you can peruse the threads already done and with diligence, you might just find what you need.

Thank you for making a place for consumer questions. I am trying to buy a pair of glasses that I've wanted for a number of years but haven't had the money nor the ability to get back down to Boston to have them fitted or to be able to have a face to face talk with provider.

So...I'm trying to buy them through email.

The ones I've wanted are rimless, style EN
    http://www.italee.com/kawa/04_shapes.htm
    with frames style 633
    http://www.italee.com/kawa/02_frame.htm

    My PD is 60.5

    script:
    OD spherical: -3.25
    cylindrical: -1.75
    axis: 005
    prism:1 (triangle)
    base: BU

    OS spherical: -3.75
    cylindrical: -2.00
    axis: 170
    prism: 1 (triangle)
    base: BD (or BO?)

I asked for the thinnest and the price is about 720.00 for the whole set up.

It's taken me a long time to get the 500.00 i anticipated them costing and I just need to know if I am even doing the right thing as far as fitting, thickness, etc, things I can't foresee to even ask, I just don't want to regret this and throw a ton of money down the drain.

Are they like to crack at the drill mount? If they turn out to be the right ones will I be able to keep them for years?

The optician isn't going to be even seeing my face for fitting them. Should I just be getting full frames, do I have a severe script for rimless? Any input at all would be great. The reason why ive focused on these frames is that they are just the perfect shape for my particular face, i can't find anything similar anywhere else.

Thanks for your time and input.

Lisa, I am by no means an English professor, but you have got some serious grammatical errors there.
