    blocking pads

I am positive that this has been addressed here before, but I am wondering if anyone could share info about what pads they use for edging their AR lenses. We are going through a really tough time lately with lenses spinning. The good folks at Gerber say it's the pads, and the FOUR different pads that we have are saying it's the edger. The funny thing is that we're only edging the stock crizal etc. AR, not super hi vision or avance in house. Your input is much appreciated:)

Wheels might be getting dull. When that happens no pads will work.

Are you using an older edger?
You could manually decenter the lens in order to prevent blocking toward the nasal. That would eliminate some of your slippage.
We're using 3M pads and all Alize and Forte coating are coming just perfect. The pads cost more and work!!:)

If you use a disposable blade system make sure you keep-up with changing them out. If you have a permanent wheel system keep them trued religiously, especially if you cut a lot of poly. and Trivex.

Use a hydrophobic-friendly pad on the front, then stick a regular pad on the back of the lens.
After you make sure your wheels/blades are sharp.
