Thumbs up How well does Mitani sell?

It's overwhelming to walk in and see an ocean of frames. I didn't look for a specific brand, just tried on pairs that looked appealing and then checked if they felt good—quality wise and on my face.

Found a titanium frame by Mitani (never heard of this Japanese company before) and kept going back to it after trying on a few more pairs. Everything felt right and the price wasn't too much more than the $180+ average range for most of the better known established names. Those didn't do a thing to excite me.

Wish they had a saddle bridge style with rectangular frames. The oval ones (A/P Labs collection) they had were very comfortable. Never tried a saddle bridge and was surprised by how nice they were to have no nosepad. Despite the disappointment, it wasn't enough to stop me from getting the one with a traditional nosepad.

    Wave European Manufacturers

Menrad is one of the manufacturers that still produces frames in the 3 origininal factories: Germany, Switzerland and Malta.

This thread is 18 years old so most of it is probably out of date by now.

I can't say I have any favorites. I have some that I like a lot but no favorites. They all have their downsides I think.

I like working with silver dollar. Our rep is good, they'll sell you temples and other parts, they almost always have discontinued styles still available when I call, they dont use proprietary nosepads or make designs that are troublesome for the optician and they are fairly priced.
