    need gift ideas

A friend of mine and his family are opening up a heating and cooling company. They are having a bbq this week to celebrate.

I need gift ideas. Under $50 please. No booze, it is too tacky.

If you're up to being creative, I'd recommend making something like this

Since it's a BBQ, not only would this be appropriate, you can be assured that it will be used...er, eaten! LOL

Cans of sliced pineapple, a pint of strawberries, blueberries, oranges, melons of all sorts....and a basket and some skewers and just start cutting and sticking away. That will definitely be under $50!

that is more in the right direction.

I am wondering if there is anything that could give them for the business? Keep in mind that two of the guys are pretty blue collar, so something like a fancy organizer would not work.

Come on my Canuck friend! How much more helpful would a LEATHERMAN tool be to a heating and cooling professional?

Okay....okay, just because I love ya:

    1.) http://www.wildernessoutfittersarche...indexpage.html

Find them something nice to encourage breaking away from the 24/7 of business!

    2.) http://www.northernbrewer.com/

    Again.......encourage UN-work related *FUN*!

    3.) Body massages!

They will need them, believe me. No.....I ain't talking about those sensual release, shower joints that you "HEAR" about! I am talking a for real massage! They do a soul good!

What about a gift certificate for dinner / movies / local attraction? Most folks that start a business find themselves working a lot and family time gets neglected. You could even put together a gift basket with delivery pizza, video rentals and micro popcorn for $50.

Lots of soap, shampoo, and body wash. Have you ever seen how dirty HVAC guys get?

You could buy them a bunch of drink kooszies (the things that keep drinks cool in the Summer- just like HVAC keeps YOU cool) with their company logo on them...

Here's a site- they aren't expensive at all. My family uses them all the time, they really do a great job of keeping drinks cool in the Texas heat!

What better advertisement for an HVAC company!?!

    Smilie A great gift idea

Something no one ever thinks of is an emergency kit.

Either fire, earthquake, auto, that sort of thing.

    Or a gift certificate.

My days of chugging Long Island Ice Teas are over- it takes at least 10-15 minutes to drink one today! :p
