    Block Vision

I searched for this topic but nothing really came up unless I am blind. Our company is looking at contracting with Block Vision insurance. Can anybody tell me anything about them? (good, bad, run like heck) This is not my choice. I just want other people's experience to show why we shouldn't take them. Thank you

Block Vision administered the bulk of the Medicaid we took at my old office.

They paid promptly but at the great Medicaid level we have all come to expect.

Customer service was OK, nothing special and not nearly as bad as Spectera.

I haven't had any experience with them on non-Medicaid claims.
A lack of planning on your part DOES NOT constitute an emergency on mine!

We take Block Vision and here they cover a flat rate of $100 on glasses or contact lenses, with no add-ons. I have noticed that sometimes they do not have the patient's correct date of birth in their system. So, when you go to get an authorization or file a claim, it doesn't match. Also, if a patient has recently (within 30 days) gotten on this plan, it takes them a month or so in order to get their info. in their system, even if they already have a Block Vision card. Good luck, hope this helps.
