    Confused AR delaminations

I'm the coating manager in a european company and i've verify some transitions lens that back from the user (afther 6-9 mounths) with a delamination of the or AR, it is ONLY concave side !!!
The most of the troubles are in stock lenses (prescription only few unit).
The trouble appeare on V model, we sell VI only from 7 mouths.
I've not understand the cause but I coat in same batch Transitions and all the index materials and we haven't the same bad results.
The test the our lens with different quality test (QUVT, TST....) but everithing looks OK and I' not able to reproduce the delamination that I have from the user:hammer:
Can You try to explane me If the transitions layer can influance the adesion on concave ide? (You must remember that during AR deposition we produce a lot of UV)

We get coating down by Essilor's company coating lab here, I'd say there is more peeling off with transition than non transition, although it might be within the percentage. It was more at the front.

We have more troubles on transitions V but it happen on VI too.

CC side AR problems on Tr V stock lenses

    Good morning,

what I note in your original question is the fact that it happens on stock lenses mostly, you say hardly on RX.
Are these stock lenses Hard Coated ex factory or do you apply the Hard Coat yourself on those stock lenses before they go for AR?
My Tr V problems dissapeared as soon as we reverted to wash the lenses after HC and before AR again, are you washing in between?
Yes, an adhesion layer should help to improve the situation.

    sorry it start...
The clean and coat AR severals different leses (CR39 HC, 1.6 HC, Poly HC... stock and from 1.49 to 1.74 prescriptions) and we have very good result, the quality test are performed differnt times week (thermal shock, QUVT....), lenses back from market are verify one by one and we have less of 0.5% of AR troubles in all the lens tipe, but in Transitions we have 1.5-2%.... we coat it with the same plant and process of the other lenses, the internal quality test give me the same good results but the field give me 3-4 time reject lenses.... and it is CC delemination.
