TRANSITIONS OPTICAL APPOINTS SCOTT HENNING DIRECTOR OF EYECARE PROFESSIONAL TEAM
Henning Will Drive Eyecare Professional Support and Development in New Position
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., March 25, 2009 – Transitions Optical, Inc. has named Scott Henning director of its eyecare professional (ECP) and professional development team. In his new role, Henning, who previously acted as national retail key account executive for Transitions, will be in charge of developing and driving initiatives to support eyecare professionals through education and marketing programs, and new communications strategies. Henning will also be responsible for the creation and implementation of an ECP loyalty program.

“Eyecare professionals are on the front-lines of delivering patient care and we want to ensure we are supporting them in the most meaningful way,” said Greg Marko, director, North America marketing, Transitions. “Scott’s expertise and familiarity with the needs of our customers are strong assets in this position, as we strive to ensure our efforts are in-line with the needs of our eyecare professional partners and the issues they face in the changing business environment.”

Henning joined Transitions in 2002 as western region zone manager and was subsequently promoted to national account executive. Previously, he worked for more than 20 years with strong brands, including Rubbermaid, Häagen-Dazs and Frito-Lay.

Henning holds a bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance from California Polytechnic State University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from National University.
