    Frames with magnetic clips

Does anyone know of a good supplier for frames that come with magnetic clips? I am sick of dealing with Aspex, because of shoddy service and never ending B-O and I refuse to order from alternative eyes (personal vendetta against the rep)
    Any ideas??

I keep telling you guys, Air Clips. They may not have magnets, but are easy to put on, take off, and are custom made. And they do not cost much.

We gave up our magnetic clips and replaced them with these. It is great, because we can make them for ANY frame.

Also, you do not have to drill the lenses or put jewels on the lenses.

Frames that come with magnetic clips are:

    Money out of your pocket.

Sitting on the frame board, collecting dust.

And don't make money until you sell them.

Having a pre-set base curve they either have a gap between the lenses on minus powers or scratch off AR on plus powers. The sun lens color is preset, the 2nd frame-front is heavy and gets bent out of shape, and they need to be constantly readjusted. They only fit the frame they are sold with....These issues have been addressed...

Chemistrie Magnetic Lenses are like AR coating in that they can be added to any frame or Rx, cost nothing to your inventory budget, and make you money each time you sell them.

Granted, one has to use the 'art of selling' to get past having a 2mm magnet in your lens. This isn't for everyone, nor can just anyone sell it. CTC vision in Montreal is a Canadian supplier.

I agree that frames with a magnet can be restrictive. These frames do not come with clip ones. They are custom clips that are as easy as magnetic clips.

Back in the mid 90s, we defied the optical world by selling RX sunglasses at a low price instead of clips. BUT some people want clips. Some people find them more convenient.

It is like fitovers. Ugly as heck. But some people prefer them.

Jacqui, have you made many yet?

We're doing them in-house, and they've easily added $15k to our bottom line in the last 6 months.

NO !! When I talked to them again all they wanted to do was sell me a Santinelli edger that I can't afford. Their reasoning was that Santinelli is just the greatest thing since peanut butter and has a special button to push just for Eyenovates. I still think they can be made with my old edger, a decent drill and lots of know-how.

Does your 7e have a drill, or do you do it seperately??

It has the drill. You push a button. It put holes in the lens.

I've never been the guy to push the buttons. (They won't let me.)

I just pay for the machine. (They let me do that.)

I purchased mine after visiting and interviewing several wholesale labs that were utilizing them with success. I recently visited a large (huge) lab in Fla, and see that they are using the same.

Yes, I've had it for more than 3 years, and am very pleased w/my decision!
