Those are products that are only available to Vision Source members to my knowledge.

How are things going for you other than that? Lovin' your new digs?

Sharpview is an AR coating from Essilor. It's one of the lower tier products and can be applied to any uncut blank. It does not have a hydrophobic outer layer. It's available from any Essilor lab. That's the only one I am familiar with from your list.

So it's not very good? Would you recommend Super ET over it?

NO WAY! Sharpview is far superior to SET. Sharpview is the best AR in that price range, IMO.

There are some better ones that are 25% more expensive. But there are some that are not as good for 25% more expensive too.

It's a good AR, it just lacks the slick outer layer. IMO, the main selling point is that you do not have to match the lens brand with the AR. It will go on anything, as long as it's uncut.

Personally, no luck with the TruClear lenses.

I second Sharpview is a perfectly good coating for the price.

I have sold a few Sharpviews recently to patients that didn't want to get a premuim AR. The lab recommended it. So they will be hard to clean?

Not if you apply Chris Ryser's Slick Coat product! His company, OMS, sells it. He should be along any minute to fill you in!

Hard is a relative term - and possibly fairly subjective. It isn't perhaps as easy to clean as some of the latest hydro/oliophobic lenses, but it isn't bad. If cleaned properly, it should hold up well I would expect. Check with your lab(s) for warranty information.

I found Sharpview comparable to the old Crizal Alize' . The jobs I received had the blue "pad control" layer and exhibited hydrophobic properties.

This is kind of an older thread, but I'll bite. I'm in a Vision Source office, so we use these products. From what I've heard (from before I worked here) the TruClear is kind of junk. The TruClear HD is what we use the most of, and have incredibly minimal non-adapt jobs for it. It's a good lens.

The Viso is basically the same thing as Alize. Viso XC is the same as Clearguard (which is no longer available), and Viso XC+ is like Alize with Scotch Guard. I only use Sharpview when it's the ony thing available (like on a mid-index trifocal). All of the Viso products are good treatments, and I like to be able to offer my patients a range of options, depending on how hard they are on the glasses, or don't want to spend a lot but still get a good product.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    Truclear & Truclear HD

Ok for new presbyopes but not for previous progressive wearers. The savings is NOT worth the remake. Dr. said the wearer will not notice the difference, Because other VS doctors state there is nearly instant adaptation. Bahahahahahahahaha! The sooner you can get them in a freeform the better.
