B&L as far as I know does not make any Progressive Opthalmic lenses (at least not for US distribution) only contacts. Is this in the wrong forum?

As far as I know, B&L no longer makes ophthalmic lenses period, at least for the US market.

That being said, I'm partial to Nikon or Seiko lenses for single vision high index (1.60-1.74) a/r; Nikon's HCC a/r coating seems to be working out pretty well for us. I have not had anybody complain about the house brand poly lenses my lab uses (Encore Optics in Connecticut does my work).

I actally think he is asking about CL here. And the answer is what ever fits and does not disturb the eye upon which it rests.
Another possiblity is that all the old glass lenses (which we have debated at length on Optiboards) left at AO or B&L or whomever were shipped abroad as the market disappeared here and are still being used.
