Here in Texas theres no tax on prescription eyewear

I don't think it's right to tax any medical device.

Hey Harry, kinda get the feeling I'm following you?

There is no tax on prescription glasses in Texas.

There are plenty of younger people that could use tax free eyeglasses in Oklahoma. Just because someone is over 65 doesn't mean they are poorer then younger people.

Michigan doesn't tax glasses but they do contact lenses and frame only purchases. That may change as Michigan needs some cash.

True, but this demographic tends to vote more than younger people.

I'm all for tax-free eyewear for the over-65 group. Only if they also have to take an actual driving test every two years. Hand-eye coordination counts. Stopping at an intersection when you have the right-of-way is an automatic failure.

That is what they should be talking about instead of tax-free eyewear.
