No clue here. though wasn't the ads in the trade mags all "Lux and Me" or "Lux and You", or something along those lines?
the website seems more geared toward retailers, not consumers.
As an example, under the "My Store" tab, is "Retail" which has a link for "available POP". I don't think consumers are looking for a versace displayer.
Lux University is definitely geared toward professionals, I know. and I would tend to belive that the online ordering is for independents too.
I think the blogger might be incorrect.
Oh wait! This is on the bottom of the site...
Exclusive Source of Information to Luxottica North America Preferred partners
Anyone care to provide a link to this site?
Just checked it out. Looks to me that this site is meant for their accounts, so anybody who has an account number can log in and the others can not. So whats open is ok for the consumer and for the rest you have to put in your account number.
Does not look like an internet on line selling site at all, seems to be just for general information for their frame customers, and their stores.
FezzJohns is rolling out a similar program called "Fezz & Me". You log on with a special account number, and Fezz shows up at your door w/ an empty mug, looking for a fill-up!:D

Regarding the Luxandme program...
It's very telling that although this may not be a direct to consumer, selling site, most Optiboarders wouldn't have been surprised if it was.:finger:

I agree, it is targeted toward stores. Consumers cannot buy from it online.
