I do have a stupid question though. Are opticians allowed to fit contact lenses in california? I'm assuming they are under the supervision of an ophthamologist or an optometrist but am not sure. I'm interested in pursuing the fellowship for the contact lens society, but most of my cl experience was in a RGP lab not fitting. I tried contacting the medical board in california and specifically the LDO program but couldn't get through. Any help would be great. Thanks
