    Question dyslexia / contact lenses

    looking for some help

Had a customer come into the store and ask if I could get her "clear" contact lenses.... was shocked when I said that there should be no problem...........Why clear? she said that there is a company in the US that will tint them the color she needs for dyslexia. I would have thought the US company would supply the lenses but then realized that someone has to do a correct fit of the lenses first (she lives in Canada) She is going to bring in a list of all the materials allowed and not allowed. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. thanks jj

It sounds like a variation of the Irlen System, a scientifically unsubstantiated procedure of treating dyslexia with tinted lenses.

There's some more information on this here:
