Anyone have experience with this lens? Would like to know if this is considered a good progressive.

Our office has dispensed these for the last year and a half. We're a Visionsource practice and the pricing is great. I order these for about 75% of all our pt's. Normally we do the HD and have had only 4 pt's NOT adjust well to them. I can say it's unbelievably easy to fit and generally well accepted. I have used Zeiss allmost exclusively over the past 4 years and have never been able to satisfy as many pt's with Zeiss as I have with the Truclear brand. And the Viso XC A-R coat seems to be of good quality also. I wear a TruclearHD and the vision is real good out of it. However I have only worn a Hoya CD prior to this one.
Truclear and Truclear HD lenses are used in Europe as well under a different name (not aware of what it's called there - sorry), but Essilor who makes this lens exclusively for Vision Source practices in the US says it's one of their most popular lenses there.
I've dispensed this lens for the past two and a half years, and also find it to be a very easily fit lens, with few remakes. Physio 360 and Ellipse are my next two lenses of choice for most of my patients. Have had very mixed results with Definity - even though all the salespeople I talk to say it is superior.
Viso and Viso XC are basically comparable to Crizal and Crizal Alize. The HD and XC versions of the two products are the more advanced/durable designs.
The Truclear design is said to be something like the Varilux Comfort and Panamic. Though on the softer side of the design spectrum. All in all it's been a very easy lens to work with.
What does the engraving look like on this lens?
We are a Vision Source office as well. From the information I've read about the Tru-Clear lens. It's practically the same lens as Essilor's Accolade. Tru-Clear HD would be the same as Accolade Freedom I guess.
The etching is a: VS for Vision Source I believe.
I agree with everyone as well. Markings are VS and they are great lenses!! We use mostly the Truclear HD. Excellent cost and turnaround is great. I just wish that the Viso XC was available like the avance scotchguard. Viso XC excellent cost!! We have only had 1 non adapt to the lens in the past 2 years.Otherwise I like the Ellipse or definity. Ellipse is in my opinion the best short corridor lens!
