Help with Serengeti/Bolle

Remember these?

I use to sell both of these at a high volume years ago. I dont see them around anymore.

Do you sell them still? (and do you RX them or are they more for CL patients)

If you don't, why not?

Is it still a viable product for our patients?

If not, why?

I am considering reinserting these in my lineup and would really apreciate some feedback on both the Serengeti and Bolle sunwear.

We do well with both lines. Bolle has some very nice opthalmics and I just got a pair of Serengeti w/ glass polarized photochromatic lenses and I love em'.

Sell both. They do very well. Serengetti buyers are a very loyal lot.

What about those who dont carry them.... any input about why not??

we used to carry them, and did quite well, but for one, we don't have a rep anymore which makes it tough when they are competing with maui jim's and rudy project for our business. Also, I got tired of trying to find them years ago when they changed hands a couple of times. When you're dealing with a busy dispensary, conveniece is of the utmost imprtance. That being said, I really like the product.

One of the local labs is a distributor for both products. For me, and part of the problem is the prevalance of especially Serengeti on the web. I mean _I_ could buy a particular frame and lens combo I wanted cheaper on the web than I could get with my discount off of wholesale from the distributor.
