    what progressive lens?

    Hello,

I have a patient who wears a progressive that I can not ID. It has this symbol on the lenses

(-) the "-" appears to almost touch each "( )". I have looked this up on my progressive ID'er and can not find anything close. Anyone have any clue?

    Thanks in advance!

A fellow Optiboarder, TLG, has provided a great resource on progressives here:

    www.thelensguru.com

Also, Keith Benjamin, another Optiboarder, has a good tool on his companies web site:

    www.laramyk.com

    Good luck!

Bingo! I'm looking at that symbol right now. (I can actually see it while WEARING my Hoya progressives!)

If it is a complete circle w/ a dash through it, it is a Zeiss Brevity 1.67.

All our Hoya progressives have a circle. If it is a Hoya lens, the model name will appear below the nasal circle.

I don't think the Hoya ID and ID Lifestyle have those markings. I think they are a triangle.

    I will double check!
