    MAC os x

    I everyone -

was wondering - if anyone else here is running os x ?

I was looking under the optiboards file directory - and see a few programs i would love to check out - however - i am unsure - if and how i can get them to run on my mac ?

the ones i saw - where in a (.exe) - and do not know if these executable files need to only run on windows - or is there a way to get them open and running on a mac -

Although i do have a intel powerbook - and can load window also - i do not have a extra copy of XP - to load - so i currently only have os x -
For the most part - i do not run into issues - using the mac software - and in those RARE cases - i usually can find a work around - but was wondering if anyone else came up with something - ?

    I'm running OS X 5.4

But unless you are running it on a intel dual core machine you are out of luck. Even if you have one of the dual core machines you will need to buy
"Boot Camp" and Windows to be able to translate exe docs.

You might be able to get them to run under Darwine.
    http://darwine.sourceforge.net/

It's an open source program that lets you run some Windows programs under OS X. It can't run absolutely everything, but it does a good job on quite a few programs. It requires that you install X11, which is one of the extras on both 10.4 and 10.5 install discs.

It's a little work to set up, but it's free (and legal).
