Fantom Optics Joins in Serving National Guardsmen
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA - Fantom Optics based in St. Paul was among a group of 50 to 60 Minnesota volunteers showing their appreciation for our American service personnel. The Twin Cities group, comprised by a number of St. Paul area patriotic businessmen, served a feast few will soon forget.

Despite the 107 degree heat, about 2,700 National Guardsmen — members of Task Force 34 — from several states were treated to a wonderful deployment party — Minnesota style — at Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. Volunteers brought the food by caravan, organized, cooked and served it. Fantom Optics Director of National Sales, Greg Kleindl, was on hand to help with the special sendoff event.

The Task Force has been in Oklahoma for several months training its aviation unit members prior to being deployed to Iraq. In 2006, the volunteer St. Paul group staged a similar party at Camp Shelby, Mississipi.
