    Smilie Back With SOLA...

    Hello Everyone...

Just another update for all of my friends in the Ophthalmic Optics forum...

Recently, I accepted a contract position with SOLA International (the parent company of AO*SOLA). As you may remember, I left AO*SOLA and relocated to the Kansas City area in order to be closer to my family. I will now be serving SOLA International in a similar capacity (technical marketing, standards support, etcetera). Since I have a great deal of respect for SOLA, its products, and its people, I am very much looking forward to this continued working relationship.

    Best regards,
    Darryl

Glad to hear it Darryl. You're much too talented to be lost as a resource. It appears that somewhere, there were people that recognized this, as we do.

    Enjoy

Good to hear you have returned to SOLA! I was afraid you'd end up at the Evil Empire (whose name also starts with an "E," coincidentally ;) )! Now, get back to work!

    Darryl,

As long as you were able to get full reinstatement with the company (i.e. retirement packages, vaction time, ending payscale) then I'm glad you went back with a company where you can use your talents. You're an asset to the industry that';s for sure. BUT if you didn't get full reinstatement you need to march yourself back down to the HR office, youngman and get them to give you what you've earned! If you need me to come be the muscle for you just let me know. I got your back :)

Take care and don't work too hard,

    Darris C.

    Evil Empire?

Gee Pete, are you referring to me? Does this mean we can't talk or trust what each says....

    JRS,

Okay, okay... having met several Essilor employees, I have to say you don't remind me of Storm Troopers or anything (of course, maybe you hide your white storm trooper outfits and only get them out for staff meetings or something ;) )!

I suppose I could refrain from calling Essilor the "Evil Empire," but I still yearn for the days when SOLA was a viable company!

    Another day, another 50 cents...

Welcome back to Sola, Darryl. They should be thrilled to have you back.
