I get my stripper from OMS in Canada..web site http://optochemicals.com (800-461--6637)I used to get it from PSI but they discontinued it and I found the company that was actually supplying them OMS. :-)

Stripping is a fairly easy process.. I use a good tupperware bowl with a lid that seals.. you just dump the stripper into the bowl drop the lens (face down) into the stripper place the lid back and anywhere from 20 to 60 seconds and its stripped!! ..some precautions need to be taken it is a very strong chemical..I use rubber gloves, wear safety glasses and it is done in a well ventilated area...also you really need some type of clamps to reach into the stripper and snag the lens. The nice thing about the stripper is it may be a little expensive but you can use it over and over.. once I get done got a funnel that fits back into my original bottle and dump it from the bowl back into the bottle... you just really need to make sure you are working near running water and take your time and not splash it at all and WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. I think if this stuff got in your eye all the flushing in the world isn't going to save anything. :-)I dropped some on a towel I had by the bowl and it ate through it....Nice stuff but you really need to be careful.
One thing to remember is that you don't want to strip poly's unless you have an in-house coater because this stuff eats through everything on the lens!!

NuChem Laboratories also sells an A/R stripping kit.

The kit includes 2 bottles of stripper, a tupperware bowl for storage, rubber gloves, and a lens holder with a screened bottom for dipping the lenses.

The cost is somewhere in the neighborhood of $90.00 for the kit.

    Howler,

The ones from OMS was $25 a bottle :-)..no gloves or tupper bowl though :-) .... One bottle would be more than enough for a retail location. My last bottle lasted me about two years.

We use Armor Etch-Glass Etching cream. It can be purchased at most craft stores and works on all materials except glass. You apply the cream to both sides of the lens (use gloves), wait 20 minutes and rinse. In most cases one application will do it.

Depending on where you purchase it it runs $5-9 per bottle.
