Optical Boot Camp Hits the Road
Dallas Seminar Offered for New Dispensers
Norwalk, CT (July 21, 2008) – International Vision Expo is pleased to bring the exclusive Optical Boot Camp optical immersion program, sponsored by Essilor of America, to Dallas, Texas. Designed specifically for new dispensers, the Optical Boot Camp program helps those new to the optical field develop the skill set and optical information necessary to provide quality patient care and product selection guidance.

Delivered in an interactive and fun format, the one-day Optical Boot Camp features a comprehensive overview of:

• The Incredible Eye: Basic Ocular Anatomy and Physiology
• Practical Optics: Light, Lenses and Frames
• Boot Camp Dispensing Tactics: Eyewear Function, Fit and Fashion
• Boot Camp Sales and Communication Strategies

Optical Boot Camp is taught by industry veterans, Vince Young, MD; Bob Main, ABOM and Rene Soltis, FNAO. “Our goal with Optical Boot Camp is to give those new to the optical profession the tools they need to provide quality information and service to patients,” said Soltis. “In addition to the one-day session, participants also benefit from online follow-up support and networking which is a big help in implementing the skills learned at Boot Camp in their practices.”

Optical Boot Camp will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Essilor Corporate Campus in Dallas. The fee for the program is $200, which includes the intensive six-hour program, course workbook, one year of online support and networking opportunities, lunch and a t-shirt.
