Question Looking for zyl frames with adjustable nose pads

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of lightweight zyl frames with adjustable nosepads?

D&G has some. All zyl frames can be converted with a some parts available from Hilco. Of course, you have to be able to use your hands and some tools to do this.

Yeah, they have some way improved versions now. Much easier to do than the ones from 10 years ago. And you can put them on virtually any frame as long as there is enough thickness on the bridge.

Pro design makes almost all of their zyl's with nose pads. You must order them WITH the nosepads.

    Custom nose pad

There are nylon made nose pad arms and pads available now in China (copied from Japan...:D) for opticians to "implant" custom nose pads onto any zyl frames. see photo attachment.

These nylon nose pad arms are adjustable once heated with hair blow dryer, flexible and comfortable to wear.

I usually file nose "build up" flat from zyl frames, sand both sides evenly with 400 grit, 600grit, follow by 1,500 grit sandpaper and then go through light buffing process. Then, I place 2 dots with sharpie and apply hand drill, drop small amount of 2 parts epoxy, insert the nylon nose pad arms and leave it air cured overnight.
Contact DocInChina on this board if you are interested. He is not too far from the supplier.

It is funny...I just looked at the Sama line and they have zyl's with or without nosepads...I don't know if that is necessary in my area, but I thought it was cool.

You can also get nose pad mounts for Zyl frames that you can install yourself on any Zyl frame.
