Well, would you?
Yes, I would.
No, I would not.
Well, would you?
...Just ask me...
Probably not, unless it was fun and profitable.
I'll try anything once.......with the exception of suicide! :):)

Despite my reputation as a nutjob liberal here, I’m a fairly conservative person in my personal behavior, so I probably wouldn’t.

Grubie......you should have said you were adventurous in your younger years.....but now that you are a parent, you have other priorities!

Except it’s kinda the opposite.
I was EXTREMELY introverted and timid in my younger years….it’s only over the last 6 or 7 years that I have done adventurous things…..and I have done some pretty adventurous things during that time, but none of the typical liberal wildness…(have never drank, used drugs, smoked, etc.)
What I have done are:
Sea Kayaked for a week in the wilderness off of Vancouver Island
Bicycled over 1100 miles from San Diego to the tip of Baja California (over a month on a bike)
Camped for 6 weeks at a time in front of movie theaters to see Star Wars
Drove Cross Country from California to Colorado visiting 10 national parks and monuments
Hiked to the top of Half Dome
Camped in Death Valley

I would if I could, but can't so I won't!
I would not.
But you must remember I am a compulsive truth teller.:D
If it won't cause harm to be or anyone else. I would!
You sound interesting! What a great "to do" list!
Why Thank you :D
I am a product of a Jesuit Education, and I like to think that they did right by me.
Lifelong learning, well-rounded and all that.
I wish I could afford to travel more cause I love it. If I am better after my surgery in two weeks, I hope to be able to sea kayak more again. I miss it. I used to race (raced on San Francisco Bay 3 times).
I want to teach Eliza to enjoy the outdoors and nature and all that.

I love kayaking...being one with the water and the hypnotic movement....such a different perspective when you are so close to the water.
You sound like you really get it! Balance is hard to achieve...you seem to be accomplishing this goal.
I am thrilled that you are sharing your love of nature with your daughter...'tis a beautiful gift. My first purchase after having a child was the hiking backpack. I wore it into the ground! :p I highly recommend a kelty hiking backpack for your adventures with your daughter. Plus an ergo for round the town adventures. I like to think that my son is so into nature since we spent so much time in the woods, starting at 3 months.
Good luck with your surgery! And the best to your new travels and visits to nature...
Thanks!
Yeah, I had an honest to goodness Zen moment on my first kayaking expedition. I totally lost all sense of self and felt like I was the water and the boat and the paddle and everything….VERY POWERFUL experience. Been hooked ever since.
I wish I could use those packs, but for right now I’m fairly limited. My previous surgeries left me with a particularly nasty hernia in my abdomen which prevents me from carrying too much weight. But I do put her in the Bjorn pretty often…

I did a lot when I was young enough to and foolish enough to. Paid a heavy price many times over.. All looks like very stupid moves in retrospect.

Me too Chipster, without the regrets, I wouldn't swap a minute of it....Maybe the short period I was a 140 lb linebacker playing college football. I've climbed my last mountain, given up skiing the back bowls, and probably played my last set of tennis. Thank God for Golf!

NO not ever, I never did and never would, of course that all depends on what the definition of "is" is
Of course I would. Anyone who knows me wouldn't expect any less.
I just did...IT WAS AWSOME!
