Anyone use speedyclaims with gatewayedi?Other suggestions?

    HI,

Currently using office ally which is free and works well but doesnt take NHIC New England or MassHealth or Harvard Pilgrim.
Looked at Gateway EDI which seems to take all my insurances but dont have any PM software. Found speedyclaims which fills out the CMS-1500 form for me and its inexpensive and easy to use.
Is there anything better in this price range?
Then my other thing is I keep a journal book with the patients name and how they paid and what ins. I am waiting on, and when the ins. pays me, I go back and fill in the amount they paid me, when the day is all received I total it up, and then the month when all received.
How do I do this on the computer? I downloaded quickbooks quickstart and it doesnt seem to fit esp. for insurance payments.
Any suggestions? Do I just set up an excell spreadsheet or something?
I did try practice mate which goes with office ally and is free but too many tabs for me to use. The officemate type programs are just too expensive for me as this may be a short term taking over of a practice.

    Thanks,
    Karen

    gateway edi cost

    HI,

In case anyone was wondering, the cost of Gateway edi is $400 for set-up and $85 per month or $114 a month for Swift version which includes electronic eobs.

I decided to get the swift version.

Speedy claims cost $198 for electronic claims version. Seems like alot for a cms-1500 claim filler?

    Karen
