...Elegance contact lenses (old Barnes Hind colour lenses)? Last I heard, they aren't available anymore, but a patient came in yesterday wearing them, and wants to reorder.

(Why can't people be happy with their God-given eye colour??) ;)

Sadly I can't help solve your problem, but I will say that it's funny as heck when a monstrously ugly person pays for colored contacts as if blue eyes will distract people from the bestial visage and oily rolls of fat hanging off their bodies.

MLM, I said I'm sorry I can't help you, I honestly don't know where to get the lenses. I then just had a bit of fun commenting on what I see all the time. I think I can speak for Chip when I say both of us will be looking around at work tomorrow to see if we can find a supplier for you, and I can speak only for me when I say don't expect someone to find an unusual lens for you at eight p.m. est.

MLM, last I heard they have been discontinued.

HOWEVER, I have worn the Elegance in the past and now wear Natural Touch and I cannot tell the difference. The Diameter for the Natural touch is 14.0 and come in a 8.4 or 8.7 BC. I have the Baby Blue color and have very dark eyes. They are the most natural looking of all the colored contacts I have tried. They are manufactured by Cooper Vision and are extremely similar to the old Elegance lenses.

Crazy-bout-Optics, thank you for the info. I'll have to see if Natural Touch is available in Canada, but it sounds like the perfect option. I'm also going to have her try Cooper's Expressions, but I suspect it won't be a good match.


Against the Rule, I'm fully aware that not everyone is working in the same time zone, so no, I didn't really expect an answer until tomorrow. I also didn't expect such a crude comment. Like Crazy-bout-Optics mentioned in another thread, it's gotten to the point that almost every thread has some kind of nasty insult tucked in it.

There's a difference between teasing people who want a different eye colour and characterizing such people as "monstrously ugly". You have no idea what I look like, so you don't know if your comment could be construed as a personal attack, so why say it in the first place? If I had asked you that rhetorical question in person, would you have responded in the same way? And yes, I would be just as upset if a coworker said the same comment to my face. It's about simple common courtesy.
