I am actually quite passionate about this one. My close friend, Brad, started LES and he is based out of Raleigh, NC. He has been in the eye care industry for years and saw the need for a networking site on a local basis (area by area) that offered continuing ed opportunities, help for practices, including all eye care professionals.

He decided to expand the region to the Southeast. He is very well connected throughout this area (and a sincere contributor to the industry). While a great way to network career paths, the recruiting piece is not the main goal. The connection of all of us within the eye care community is the most important aspect.

I am a stay-at-home Mother who will help networking in GA. Really, my goal is spreading the word to industry professionals. Our community is so specialized - I will be visiting various regional meetings from SC to GA. My goal is to get eye care folks aware of the site and visiting and using the site as an additional resource in their careers and practices. My other goal is seeking qualified people for article submissions as a contribution to the knowledge center.
