I have a small practice in central Texas. I am looking to find a cost effective way to file Medicare claims. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a website that could be of assistance (not prohibitively expensive)?
Thanks,
Sonja

If you are filing paper claims, UB-92 Software (2007) has a HCFA 1500 template that you can purchase on line then download from their site. You can buy the 1500 forms at any office supply place. I got mine at Staples. Just fill in the blanks and codes and mail it in to your clearing house. You should already have your NPI number and if you go to the NHIC website, you can download the instructions for filing out the 1500 form. If you have any trouble getting to these sites, PM me and I'll get the urls for you- but I got them easily by googling so you should have no problem. good luck hj

I use Eyefinity.com. They charge basically a few cents (maybe.50) per claim. I've never had a problem. Quite efficient way of doing claims.
Go to http://www.trailblazerhealth.com/ and do a search for GPNet. It is Trailblazer's free electronic claims program. It goes directly to them...no clearinghouse needed.
Good luck,
