Has Anyone Tried HOYA's Nulux EP?

I was given a free fit voucher from my lab rep for the 1.7 Nulux EP bi-aspheric SV lenses. I know that they are currently made in Thailand and that the estimated turn time is ~2 weeks. I believe that they are a "Free-form SV lens". I have read HOYA's propaganda but would like to hear from anyone who has used them.

I am -6.00 -1.00 OU and have never thought that I had much problem with periphereal distortion in my 1.6 and 1.67 lenses up to this point.

    Any opinions are appreciated.

Just got them in yesterday! I love them! Crystal clear all the way to the edge. The only downside is a fishbowl effect on the temporal sides on the outside 3-4 mm of each lens. Its absolutely clear, just curvy.

    Yes, I'm a huge fan of 1.70 over 1.67.

A lens that eliminates MOE for a -6.00 power would only have an equivalent MOE of about a 1/10D, this isn't a very significant amount of error to justify Bi aspheric for me anyway, but the 1.70 would definately be nice as again the abbe mentioned is very nice and patients that go from 1.67 to 1.70 seemt o love the clarity of images and the crisper edges (comments I have recieved). The bi aspheric I think plays a more significant role at or above a 2.00D astigmatism.

Our wearer are looking for individual free form sport plastic lenses index 1.7 ABBE 42 high tensile strength like HOYA EYAS at retail price 2,000 US$ per pair.

May be we have to wait until 2010?

Sometimes an educated consumer is a good thing, not often, but good for you in this case.
