I am wondering who is your main manufacturer for progressive lenses theese days. Lets say more than 50% of them used in the store.
Zeiss/Sola/AO
Essilor
Signet Armorlite (Kodak,Navigator)
Younger (Image)
Vision Ease (Ilumina, Outlook)
Shamir
Polycore
Pentax/Seiko
Hoya
House Brand (no name China stuff)

You left out Augen, Excelite (TOG), Rodenstock . . .;)
No one likes a smart $ss. Do they??:bbg:
We used Essilor. Mainly because that is who our lab was and that was the best lab we could find. Oh, and because of Crizal. I used other ARs from other big names and was very sorry for doing so.
We use Essilor for a few reasons:
1) They own Definity.
2) We're Vision Source. They give us a good deal on pricing and they have an "exclusive" progressive for us.
3) 90% of our area's labs are Essilor owned.
I am not a big fan of behemoths, and I find Essilor's tactics in the optical marketplace to be similar to Microsoft's in the software market (and, to me, that is not a good thing). But they sure do give us incentives to work with them -- even if some of those "incentives" seem like arm-twisting.

Our primary go-to progressive is the Younger Image. But we use the Precise also.

We were big essilor users until recently...We have starting using alot of Shamir products. Results are unbelievable:) Are local TCO lab can get everything except autograph, and they are going to put in the machines to do them...

I would say predominately Essilor as we have a really good relationship with the reps. They are very prompt with there turn around. Hoya and Nikon have really dropped the ball around here. A week plus for sv Hoya stock and NIkon calling 10 days later saying they can't make a set of lenses only turn around to say then can after we confront them on it. If those issues were worked out we would probably use each equally, but for the time being most new presbyopes are being fitted with Ipseo of Physio 360.
Christina,
"TCO" = Twin City Optical? If so, which one do you use? We've had problems with getting the Autograph through the one we use; if there's one in the network, I'm sure the lab manager will want to know. :)
BTW, I agree on Shamir product. Both the Piccolo and Creation and great lenses and well-accepted.

Every one has to vote!
The last poll that I post on this board was used in selling Optronic Edgers!
BTW I did not get any compensation for that!!!!:drop:
Where's X-cel??
Unfortunately I could not find the way to modify my original choices.
I also think that there are not to many people who would use X-cels or Excelite or Augens progressives as their lens of choice.
You should separate Varilux from the rest of the Essilor stuff, IMO.
I would if I could!

I have it set so only Moderators can edit polls. Otherwise people could easily rig the results.

Do we have Nikon in US!?
Nikon is available in the US.
It is different from the Canadian Nikon. The Canadian one is more competition to Essilor, where the US one is more partners. We have different PALs and coatings too.
Apparently, Nikon in the US is distributed by Wal-Mart.
