Essilor Varilux Comfort Production

Hi there,this is the first time I'm posting on this site. I'm a Dispensing Optician from the UK.

I am currently conducting an investigation on progressive lens manufacture,comparing older generation designs to the latest methods,i.e,free-form.

I'm struggling to get information on the production of the Essilor Comfort. I know that in America, Essilor used DRx (direct-to-prescription ,in-lab casting technology) but that was limited to the USA - I was just wondering if there were any other methods used for mass production globally?
