i was wondering if anyone here deals with cartier, and knows what they require for an account eg minimum order, special display and starting pricing points on the frames.

Don't deal with them but once was interested. Someone on the phone who sounded like a deposed member of the house of lords who had lost the family money and had to condecend to selling to underlings in the colonies. Told me that for an "investment of $20,000.00. We could put in 10 frames (If they approved of our establishment). The average retail price of same would be $3000.00.

We said: "Thanks, but no thanks." I do have a number of customers who want me to handle Cartier, but not enough to pay the interest on $2000.00 of slow moving inventory.

I have to keep 600 pairs of Cartier in stock all the time in exchange of 200 sq. ft. of display floor includes furniture. It makes me look good but the frame move slowly for the current economy situation.
