has anyone heard of a double seg progressive, for occupational use kind of like a double d seg?
Think about it - with a minimum fitting height of say, 19 mm X2 =38mm. Add 14 mm for distance vision between them you will now need a frame with a B measurement of at least 52 mm. This ain't the 80's anymore. Not to mention the amount of head bob you would need to use them. This is why they don't make them.
However, Three Rivers Optical can make you a progressive with either a round or blended back surface seg above the progressive.

Look in the back of your lenses quarterly (Frames data) under "Occupational Lenses". You will find several double seg bifocals and a couple of trifocal lower, bifocal upper and maybe even a few progressives and progressive/D combinations.
Then you will find that you can sometimes have a different power for the upper to vary the focal length for the vocational need.
