    WTB: a used lensometer

    Just wanted to see if there are any offices here that has an extra lensometer they want to sell?

    Ours broke yesterday. :(

    Broke?

    What kind of lensometer is it and what happened?
    Maybe its an easy fix.

    Hi Doc,

    I pulled out your model and discovered that its an easy fix. First, look at the two allen set screws on the lever. Make sure they are tight. That should solve the problem.
    If not, take the lever off by loosening the set screws. Then try to turn the shaft without the lever. Your table should rise and fall by turning the shaft. If so, put the lever back on and be sure the set screws are all the way in. If the shaft is worn, simply reposition the lever and screw down the set screws.

    That should solve your problem

    You might want to check Ebay, there are one or two on there now. There is also a good looking AO 12603 which is also a good machine.
