We are seeking to add Custom Lens Technicians in the Hebron, KY and Chester, VA areas to provide optical expertise and troubleshooting to our Rx labs and customers.

Responsibilities to include:

Lead the on site Quality efforts on the NA Custom PAL lab enablements.

Assist with the preparation and scheduling of the NA Custom PAL product and Laboratory audits.

Coordinate the Custom PAL product testing and Laboratory audits

Conduct Laboratory audits on site as required

Analyze and publish product audits results. Recommend corrective actions to the Custom PAL Team and the Material Review Board as needed.

Assist in the analysis and publication of the Facility audits results.

Prepare the information from the audits results to aid in the grading of the Laboratories status

Prepare Logo (engraving) physical visual lens standards for the CZV-owned and Partner Custom PAL Laboratories.

Prepare and maintain a database of all the product and facility audits.

Prepare and maintain a database of all the logo lens standards and local documentation as required.

Work closely with México testing lab, Chester testing lab and R & D Australia as required to ensure accuracy of samples and test results.

Work closely with RxT or Systems Technology to coordinate and complete NA Custom PAL facility audits in accordance with issued SOP.

Coordinate NA Custom PAL product customer complaint information and consolidate results. Report on key issues, trends as required.

Provide support on other quality related activities in Custom PAL labs.

Liaise with Custom PAL customers via NA Commercial to educate and collect feedback on Custom PAL quality issues

Perform all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

An undergraduate degree in the physical sciences or related field. Appropriate experience can be substituted for a degree.

One to Three years experience working in an Rx lab environment or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of optical measurement instruments, documentation structures, operating procedures development, quality standards development, safety regulations, optics and specifications is required.

Hard coatings and Anti Reflective coating experience is desirable but not required.

Experience interfacing directly with customers for purposes of participating in the Custom PAL Enablements and understanding customer requirements and resolving customer issues.

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills are essential.

Ability to conduct basic training in variable and attribute measurements and visual inspection is required.

Good computer skills, project management and flexibility to travel are required.

Knowledge of basic Quality concepts such as process problem-solving and root cause analysis is desired.
