Thanks for sharing Thewall, I think huvitz/coburn are a very good machine, the new one is more fast too.

Every equipment has pro and defect.

In my little experience only takubomatic are very easy for retouch lenses, you can retouch the lens even after deblock or add only chamfring bevel etc.

My 2Cents? The Huvitz was great for CR39, ok for Poly, so so for trivex. AR? fuhgetabbout it. We changed it out with the Santinelii LexCe, production model, no tracer, etc. Same speed, handles High minus and ARs much better, better throughput.

However, we process 360+ prs/day, so results may vary. For what it's worth, the Huvitz did pay for itself. I'm just saying that it is not for a production environment.
I bend light. That is what I do.

Yes, I think so, for a lab with many prs/day "excelon edger" it is a "small" unit, maybe the high end series (huvitz/coburn 8000 and new 9000) are more robust.

Santinelli/Nidek are robust even the basic series, anyway we know... the best way when it is possible is a "industrial design" edger like Essilor pro, Mei ezfit, Briot/weco/nidek special series etc.
