Ever have one of those patients that bring their rx and you know it's incorrect perhaps by their previous prescription on file, so you call the Doc. and he says that it is correct, and you just know it's a possible remake waiting to happen but have no choice but to fill the rx. Had an older gentleman a few weeks ago went from a 3.00 add and his new rx is 2.50 add. Distance power stayed about the same, and sure enough he came back wants to know how come he read better out of his old rx, went back to his Doc., and his Doc told him he needed trifs. instead of progs. and that would solve his problem, however his previous lenses were progs. It's frustrating sometimes when you know what the patient needs, but cannot give it to them. Rich R

    This stinks!!!
I have it happened all the time with 2 MD in the area.
    You dont have a choice.
    Have to do them.
If you know the doc you can try to call him just to find out that he knows what patient was wearing before.
Some doc will apreciate it and discuss the rx with you and somewill tell you where to go>
