I received this in my email this morning - What do you all think?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn't resist sharing this curiosity from Barack Obama's campaign trail.
The following YouTube documents six separate incidents in which an attendee at an Obama rally apparently fainted:
Six ... separate ... incidents.
Coincidence? Perhaps. But consider the following:
I don't know if the faintings were staged, so you'll have to draw your own conclusions. But the frequency and circumstances sure seem a little suspicious to me -- and I wouldn't put anything past most politicians seeking the presidency.
- The faintings gave Senator Obama the opportunity to demonstrate his 'compassionate yet assertive' nature, precisely the image his campaign has cultivated, and one that any politician would covet. In each case, he responded instantly, calmly, and effectively, and I'm sure his conduct met with great approval from his audiences. (In fact, two of the clips run long enough to play the delighted response of the crowd.)
- In each case, Obama's reaction is not only calm, but nearly devoid of any sense of surprise or urgency. (Of course, if people really do faint wherever he goes, I suppose these things can get a little 'ho-hum.')
- With the possible exception of the first clip, each person who fainted (in the video footage) is close to the stage -- in other words, the person appears to be in a position where the audience can easily see what's happening without diverting their attention from Obama.
- This compilation only contains the recorded clips available to the YouTube creator. How many other faintings have gone unrecorded or overlooked? Is Barack a safety hazard?
