1.70 or 1.74 stock lenses?

Anyone know of a place to get finished single vision 1.70 or 1.74 lenses with AR?

    Thanks!

Homer Optical lists a "Ultra 1.70 Aspheric AR" as a stock lens. Hoya stocks their 1.70 w/AR.

I believe Tokai Optical may have distributers that stock their 1.70 as well. I will have to dig for that.

I called Hoya and they said they went from +1.50 to -6.00 in the sphere with HiVision with 1.70. I thought that was a bunch of crap.

Don't know who at HOYA you spoke with, however HOYA's 1.70 with High Vision AR is available from a -3.00 to -8.00 sphere out to a -2.00 cyl. From -8.25 to -10.00 it is available in sphere's only.

Its a 1.0 CT on these powers if that makes a difference to you.

Stockclub has 1.74 with Alize ranging from -3.00 to -10.00, with up to -2.00 cyl for a very attractive price. What more do you want?

If you want a cheaper AR (if you want to make that sacrifice), there is OSA Lite HCC ranging from -4.00 to -15.00 with a cyl of -2.00 or to total power -15.00. Really you only save a few dollars, and do not do any favours for your client. The only advantage is the extra powers.

Lenstock.com has 1.70 in the powers that Fezz stated. Comes std w/ Hi-Vision and a 1.0 to 1.1CT

Here is what I found when I edged a 1.74 vs a 1.70 in a -9.00. About a 0.1mm difference in favor of the 1.74. The 1.74 chipped in a groove just like CR-39. I think that the 1.74 will only be noticably thinner at above -10.00.

1.70 is good in drills, but has a slight yellow hue.

Nassau (now ELOA stock house) carries the 1.74 branded as Nikon 5

Shore Lens carries some too. A/R only, at about 25% less than the list price for Nikon Lite 5. 888-547-4802
