A religious quiz.

I will give my fellow optiboarders a week to find the correct answer to this.
Thus far only one 16 year old girl has got it right, no minister, priest, educated person, etc. has come close.
There is one sentance in the Bible that in more important than all others. And if this one sentance isn't correct everything in the Bible is false.

What is the sentence?

I was going to say, "In the Beginning God..."

Why do I feel like you are going to pull out some verse from Leviticus or something?

I think Karen has got it. "the Word". But I can't believe that a Biblically educated person wouldn't get this.

I also get a Leviticus feeling from you. Maybe even Maccabees.;)

I hate to pitch in so soon after I said I would wait a week. But I am amazed and pleasantly supprised that you are are on target.
I had thought that with as many atheists, agnostitcs, etc. that we have on the board I thought it would be a miracle (perhaps it is) if anyone came close.

If God was not the beginning, he was not the creator of the universe. Then God would not be God, therefore all things pretaining to God would be false. However if God, is God, we are not. This is all one needs to know.

Therefore, since the statement is not provable, the existence of God is not provable, and the "correctness" of the Bible is not provable.
