    Insurance Codes

Hello, i am an optician in TN and i also assist with the billing. Can anyone help me with the correct way to bill insurances for different types of CL Fittings, such as Toric and MultiFocal. I know that there needs to be a modifier along with the CPT code, but I am having trouble finding the modifier. Or is there just a different CPT code that can be used. Thank you for your help.

It gets worse, not every iinsurance company and agency uses the same codes. Some use CPT others use V-Codes. Not to mention they will reject identical claims using the same code number.

I believe we use 92310 for all the fittings, just change the price based on the complexity. When it has to do with medical then there are other medical codes that are used and will often include the lenses and fit in one price.
