    Need advice automatic lensometer

We has been using for many years a few Humphrey La350 automatic lensometers for dispensing and in the lab. It seems that they are discontinued.
Will appreciate suggestion on similar ones to replace old La350.
A device to measure monocular PD is a must. Specially on single vision lenses, we can measure each lens (mounted on the frame) at the patients monocular PD to make sure that there is not a unwanted prism.
    Will appreciate any advice.

I have to say that I've used a few different automatics and I've found the $1,600 (or so) Reichert AL200 to be more accurate than some of the $4,000 ones. I still double-check some Rx's on manual lensmeters, but this thing is pretty good. It has an SV mode, and FT/TF mode and a PAL mode and it's very easy to use. I think you can still buy a printer for it should you really need that as well.

If you have lenses dotted, center the dot in the reticle and it will tell you what kind of prism you've conjured up.

Really appreciate your comments. I has downloaded a PDF file with informations on the Reichert AL200.
Does the Reichert AL200 has nose piece to place on the bridge of the frame?
This is someting that is not mentioned.
On La350 this is very useful since on single vision and FT you can meassure the lens according to the patients monocular PD which would tell if there is a unwanted prism.

I think the new model is the AL 360. Am I wrong.

Try patternless.com, the company is VSI. They have AL350s and they are a authorized service site. You could get a refurbished on and it will be calibrated w/ a warranty. I wouldn't buy new if I could. We have 2 AL 350s, both calibrated by VSI.
