I don't know about that. If Obama can win in Iowa, he can probably win anywhere. I'm not so sure Huckabee will be able to pull it out in places other than Iowa, though. And if the Iowa turnout is any sort of indicator of what will happen in the general election (and I'm not so sure that it is), Democratic voters are going to turn out in higher numbers than Republican voters.

Grub, did you see the ABC debate yesterday? Clinton attempted to paint Obama as a flip-flopper and Edwards came to his defense: "But the one thing I do not argue with him about is he believes deeply in change. And I believe deeply in change. And any time you're fighting for that -- I mean, I didn't hear these kind of attacks from Senator Clinton when she was ahead. Now that she's not, we hear them." Anyone remember when Clinton pretended to be above the game: "Well, I'm not exploiting anything at all. I'm not playing, as some people say, the gender card here in Las Vegas. I'm just trying to play the winning card. And I understand, very well, that people are not attack me because I'm a woman; they're attacking me because I'm ahead."

Have any of these clowns said what they want to change to? I remember when the Republicans were going to change to smaller government, a non debt accrueing contract with America and a lot of other good stuff, didn't see any change.
One needs to know if change is just change or no change or change for the better. And don't kid yourself that any change is better, or that the promise of change is actually change.

I'm still waiting for one of them to ask for "spare change".

Change away from the ridiculous way things have been ran in the last several years, change away from horrible leadership and potential duplication of Dubbya, and change from this idea that the free market system fixes all solutions (especially when there are monopolistic and oligopolistic systems such as health care that change the rules of supply and demand).

It doesn't take that much research to find out exactly what they want to change. Their policies are pretty clearly spelled out at their respective websites. And their policies are precisely why I am supporting Edwards first, Obama second.

EDIT: On a sidenote, listening to NPR this morning on my way into work, Hillary said she will stay in the race "at least until Feb 5" The polls are already showing she'll be losing New Hampshire and she realizes the end is nigh.

HE is a winner, While I may think he's a little too liberal on a few issues I love his compassion.

For those that think there's some consipiricy to get a Muslim into the whitehouse, I thought he sounded a lot like a Reverand.

The repetition at the beginning of the speech reminded me of MLK.

When I hear Obama speak (and this goes back to his breakout speech at the Democratic Convention in 2004), I hear something that calls to mind two people. Kennedy and MLK. Someone who has the cadence of a preacher and who can inspire hope like a preacher, and someone who can inspire a sense of pride in the ability of this nation to overcome anything like Kennedy.
