    Accura maintenance

First remove the cover of the machine. On the left side there is the lift-jack (this is what moves the head up and down for size and shape). It looks like a small piston. Take some alcohol and clean the top of the lift jack and the sensor that it touches above it. You will have to manually lift the head to do this. Even a small amount of dirt or dust will cause the sensor to not register and this is what determines the sizing point where the edger will move to the finish cycle.
I would try this first and see if this solves your problem.
    Good Luck

Also check to make sure you are using the smaller lens adapter, I have seen people grinding down the chuck that causes this same issue and before you know it the wheel is bum.

I second the lift-jack thing. Many most bizarre things happen when dirty, an alcohol pad does wonders.

Had exact problem last month, a little alcohol clean and all better.

I have had the same problem. Cleaning the piston worked for me
