    Does anyone sell Drivewear lenses?

Our store recently got samples of Drivewear lenses with sales literature. I just can't help wondering if there is any real market for this lens. Has anyone sold any?

    Sold 2.

They liked them, but nobody else seems that interested.

Not a huge volume in them but the ones who got the really love them. I use them in my clip-on. Golfers really seem to like them.

I love mine. I've had them for about 6 months and I want another pair already.

Use the search function - there are a number of threads already on this subject. Me personally - I like the lens and tend to think outside of the box with stuff like this. I've sold them to a nurse who is photophobic but works under HI florescent lamps for 12 hours shifts, I've sold a number to golfers and skiers (you need to experience skiing in West Michigan to see the benefits) along with people who drive for a living.

We are actually running quite a few, They are not only awesome for driving, but also golfing, skiing, fishing, any sport or activity that is subject to changing light conditions

I went to a seminar and was given a trial certificate for a free pair. To be honest, I was a little leary because I don't care for brown polarized lenses (something about seeing thru them makes me nearly ill ) Anyway, I decided to give the lenses a shot and guess what - I LOVE them!

They appear to be great. We sold a few and those who wear them rave.

The only reason why I do not have a pair for myself, is because I am a -6.00 and do not want them in CR39.

Remember that the lenses are brown because they were developed to be TASK SPECIFIC, not for cosmetics. The OLA award winning piece on The Art and Science of Drivewear is an incredibly informative study

I love them and so do all my customers. I received a sample from a fellow optiboarder and CEO of Younger Optics.I was skeptical about the lens at first, but seeing is believing. It's great for driving because it's high contrast and can be worn inside if needed for shopping. Long trips like 6 hour drives are now easy.

Thanks for all responses. Maybe I'll try a pair and see for myself.

I haven't tried them either, but everyone I talk to who has really likes them. Perhaps that should be my next pair.

We were hesitant to sell them at first. we thought the high price would be a turn off for patients. Plus, for me, it didn't turn dark enough in the car for me.
However, we started recommending them to golfers....
and wow, the results have been great. We've sold 6 in the past 3 months. And so far, all 6 loves them.
    Good luck!

My DriveWear lenses are the best sunglasses I have ever worn. My practice sells a boat load of these. They just released the lens in a FT 28 now as well. This will be great for my older patients!

I got a pr. and compared to my Younger Brown C polarized with some added tint to darken it some. There is no comparison - Drivewear loses hands down. When I'm in the car driving into the sun the Drivewear is not near as effective. In lower than super bright light my Pol Brown C w/ tint is never too dark. Seems like they are right in all light. A bit less pricey too.
