Called "exopullova", when they pull out far enough they will touch the lens with the cornea which will make them pop back. If they pull without glasses send them to OD or MD. :D

    The art of refraction...

Usually power related. Sometimes fit,BC,panto, OC etc.

Compare with the old pair which I assume doesn't pull and see what differences there are.

When power related my favorite is the patient who blames the doctor for not getting the rx right. I try to tell them the doc is only going by what "you" said was better and that there is the chair power and the real world power and they're not always the same.:D

Look at PDs' first as compared to the old Rx. BCs' and Materials would be # 2 and # 3....Lastly look at powers as they relate to the persons old Rx.

I'll defer to Eyedoc2's troubleshooting order. I shouldn't have stated "usually". As I deal with a large loyal patient base my experience is that the docs tweaked the power as we duplicate PD BC material from past glasses. But I gotta confess that Eyedoc2's got me thinking that when this comes up I should try to make a mental note what resolved it and at what percentage. Could it be that if it's power related I can blame the rx and if it's measurement/fit /material related it's my fault;):p
    Kind regards.

Sometimes they are talking about bleparospasm, that annoying lid twitch some get under stress. Otherwise I think over minus when I hear the word "pull".

Really? I always thought that was attributed to a slight overplus.
i.e. Doc changed sphere from +.50 to +1.00 and pulls their eyes.

Really, REALLY disagree! A good refractionist can *always* verify the consistency (or inconsistency) of the patient's response, IMHO

Usually for us it ends up PDs, then next the Rx.

    Eye is pulling

I look for vertical imbalance in the lenses when I hear that. I have had it in my glasses and it PULLS my eye. I hate it!

I know that feeling myself. It's a definite pulling sensation and the two times that it happened it was the PD. So that is always the first thing I check when someone says their eye feels like it's pulling.

The first thing I think of is that someone was having a Prism sale. All the diopters you want for free!!
