BC is doing well because they don't have to play WVU anymore, we OWN BC.

Poor ol' Flutie - never ever beat WVU.

Its not cheating... its doing everything we can to win. After all, everyone does it, right?

(See how silly those excuses look? :) )

The NFL channel is showing a replay of the AFC Championship Game from 17 January 2007... I sure hope the Colts can come back from the 18 point deficit they've dug themselves into!

Amazing how a QB can totally completely suck for 58 minutes and gets a lucky call and the refs hand him the game, and still be considered a great QB.
Look at all the rules that the NFL has had to adopt specifically because of the Patsies.

Huh? Are you speaking of the AFC Championship game? Did you actually watch the game? Fatigue was clearly the crucial component that lead to the Pats losing. The Colts absolutely dominated the time of possession from late in the first half through the entire third quarter. The Patriots were (and are) older and...well....fatter. Indy stuck it to the Patriots between the tackles over and over again and New England could not keep up with all of that and Dallas Clark in warm dome. In the long run, The Young Colts had much more gas in their tank when it mattered most. You are the 1st person I have heard of who claimed the result of this game was due to a bad call.

Dear Dragon. with all due respect,
    1. Because no other quarterback has beaten him. Something Peyton won't be able to say Monday morning. Why should a quarterback be unlucky ALL the time?

    2. Name one NFL rule that was adopted specifically because of the Patriots. (If you say plowing the field during a snowstorm I am going to blow lunch!)

I think he's actually referring to the NFL's adoption of the rule that defenders cannot bump receivers more than 5 yards downfield after the Patriots basically mugged the Colts receivers all throughout their first AFC Championship match-up.

I was watching the NFL Channel a couple weeks ago, and they had an interview with this guy (think he was either a former Pat player or an assistant coach or something). He said the general strategy of the Pats defense is to interfere with receivers on every play (after all, there is no way the refs are going to throw a flag on every play- so if you just raise the bar on allowable contact you can mug receivers and get away with it).

In other news, I understand Patriots QB Tom Brady is being investigated by the NFL Commissioner's office on drug charges (apparently, the league is convinced Brady is taking estrogen supplements... otherwise, how can one explain his pansy-ness)!

Talking about how bad the Patriots suck is so fun... :D

As far as the bad QB goes, I was referring to BC, not the Patsies.

Blow lunch then - that's one. How about the infamous fumble resulting in the Push rule?

Right. My Bad. These Patriot's fans must be getting to me. I guess though that when you really think about it, it is really great that they have the Optiboard community to support them as they will be needing much consoling on Monday. Perhaps you, me and Pete can lead them through some grief therapy!

Do you mean to tell me that with a 17 point lead at the end of the first half, that the DEFENSE was tired? Not by the hair of my chiny chin chin! We lost the game, we're not crying about it. We're more interested in the coming Sunday night game than last years news. You are going to witness some gas in the tank allright! Get out your adding machine, you Colts People are going to need it!:D:D

That wasn't a specific result of the Patriots, many teams plowed or shoveled during games- Cleveland - NY Giants-untold colleges. The rule was adopted after the "snow plow" game but not specifically because of the Patriots, it was because of ALL who did it!

I am scrambling like mad to find the "push" rule and have been unsuccessful. If you are referring to Brady's loss of the football during a forward pass during the Raiders "snow bowl" game, if you watch carefully his arm is going forward at the time of the hit. And that rule was in effect before the game. Haven't we learned yet that History is written by the Winners....and that's what the Pats will be this weekend!
