It would have been at least 2 touchdowns more on just 2 bad calls alone. You'll see the blowout for the AFC championship....................IF the Colts get there!

Dear Dragon......There is little doubt in anyone's mind that the Patriots will be there....however your point is well made. "On any given Sunday....etc etc" and mindful of what Pete called an "easy" back half of the season I will return to my beloved Pats who are already in preparation for their next game in Buffalo. Nothing comes easy in this league including a retreat from TRASHTALK! More to follow in future threads, this one's been whipped to death!

How Bout dem Celtics!
I think we should just go ahead and put the asterik next to the Colts season already. Fines, loss of draft picks. That type stuff gets you probation and ineligible for bowls in the NCAA.
B.B. is a classless act to me. The Pats CAN'T win the Super Bowl in my book. They already cheated.
The AP had a story this AM specifically about asterisks and the 72 Dolphins. Apparently Shula (don) said something about the Patriots should have an asterisk if they win the super bowl. The writer went on to say then the '72 Dolphins should have one too, because of the fact that Shula violated the NFL rules when he was negotiating with the Dolphins while he was head coach of the Baltimore AKA the REAL Colts. The writer went on to say he failed to see how less than 8 minutes of video tape should negate the accomplishment of "arguably" the best team in football today. He finished the article in favor of the Patriots by quoting Larry Csonka n(Sp) " Perfection is hard to argue with"
Marc, Do they play Football in Kansas???:D
PS
Will you people ever get over spygate? It is common knowledge that every team tries to get every advantage over an opponent. Its been going on in the NFL since the day the first game in history was played. If you all don't already know that, you are dumber than rocks. I made the over generalization to avoid violating posting guidelines......which unfortunately has not been the case with the Patriots bashers. We're tougher though, we can take it with out Whining.

Revolution advance to MLS Cup with 1-0 win on Twellman's goal
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Taylor Twellman's acrobatic goal put the New England Revolution in the MLS championship game for the third straight year in search of an elusive first title.
Twellman, who is third among the league's career goal scorers, converted a bicycle kick between two defenders in the 38th minute, giving the Revolution a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire in the Eastern Conference title game on a chilly Thursday night.

Well, a quick look at the standings shows that Kansas is 9-0 and, like WVU, is ranked higher than Boston College.:D

I meant pro ball! but I'll stand corrected anyway. That's a pretty impressive season- Hat's off to Kansas.
I really didn't feel right trash talking with Marc because he bad mouthed the Pats, Heck Pete's said worse..... particularly the remark about the way Belichick is dressed.........:):):)

Yesterday I guess PAYton Manning was a little more rattled than he usully looks in commercials .....3 picks in the first quarter and 6 by game's end.I will give them A for effort, coming back from a 23 point deficit at half time, only to miss a tie when their much touted kicker Adam Past His Prime Veneteiri went wide right in a last second attempt. It would be a real shame not to be able to welcome the Colts back to Foxborough in January............We were so looking forward to that game.:(

It's really interesting for me to hear how people from other parts of the country think of the Patriots. Moving down here, where there are migrants from all over (especially northern midwest, mid-atlantic states and California) added into the indigenous population, I've gotten a very different view.
Point: just about everyone I talk with who isn't originally from MA, RI or the really northern NE states, thinks the Pats play dirty ball.
Point: these same folks consider B.B. to be, at best, barely civil, and, at worst, insultingly arrogant and unsportsmanlike (example: in his treatment of opposing players and coaches who want to congratulate him after a game).
To me, this is fascinating. I've come from an area where the Pats could do no wrong, were a sports franchise to be proud of. Now I'm living in an area where a significant (if not majority) of the population feels otherwise.
Harry, Fester, et al, I think a little humility is in order.
And Pete, Dragon, Night Train, et al, the Pats really are as good as the results say they are.

In a letter to the person scoring our office football pool I wrote:
Just curious, The NFL is going to go ahead and count the game last night as a loss for the Colts even though they are very sorry about the officiating. Will you be counting it as a loss as well? I am told that, as a colts fan, I am privileged to be among many other colts fans, players and coaches to have been honored with one of the most royal screwings ever dished out by an officiating crew. It apparently ranks as at least equal to the famous coin toss game. In a very kind letter from Roger Goodell, I was asked to kindly just bend over and "take it like a man".
Look out Patriots. Now we're ****** off.

You lost to the Chargers- Don't blame it on the officiating, blame it on not scoring enough points. Stop whinning and start winning so we can whupp you again.

Looks like the trash talking is going to have to move to Pittsburgh!
Then either Dallas or Green Bay!
At this pace the Colts could be the wild card team!
Actually, this picture is what would have happened to the referees on their way home from San Diego if there was a God.
I look for the colts to win out the season from here on. Any team that can make that many mistakes and still be in a game at the end must have something. I will enjoy digesting my turkey and stuffing as I watch the Colts dismantle the Falcons next week.
Enjoy the last remaining weeks of your season New England. You are going down.
