    Fine wire groove frame styles?

We miss many of the Rodenstock styles that we used to carry, although we don't miss the lousy customer service that prompted our divorce from them.

They had many nice thin wire groove styles that were light weight stainless and titanium. I'm not sure what lines to investigate to replace them. Many of the new groove styles are hunky and bizarre and heavy and there is a certain population that prefers their lighter older Rodenstock styles.

Would anyone have any suggestions for where we could look to fill this niche? Oh, and a reliable and reputable manufacturer would be preferred!

    Thank you for your suggestions.

Check out the frames from Acuity (www.acuityeyewear.com). Could be just what you're looking for!

You can still get many of the Rodenstock styles. Optical Distribution Company now carries them. I don't think they have a rep(). I just bought a few of the Reeboks from them.

Thanks, Fezz. There's the rub: We won't carry Rodenstock again after their poor management tactics. We were loyal for a decade and then they screwed us out of thousands of dollars. They are dead in the water as far as we're concerned.

Having a rep counts. No service is not an option. We're ready for a new vendor and believe that someone out there can provide the selection we need.

Our Savvy rep showed us some creative and patented cable mount groove models but it would be nice to find some simple time-tested designs that have fewer fabrication restrictions.

Thank you again for your replies.

I can understand your stance. I would follow Judy's advice and contact Acuity. They have some really nice product. I wrote two reviews on their product over in the Review Forum. A fellow Optiboarder, Uni-Clip, runs the company. He is a really nice guy. Good luck on your search.
